If you have been waiting for a battle royale game to head over to mobile devices, Survivor Royale is what you need. It’s a full game and though it’s definitely a clone of the popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG, it’s a fantastic one, considering that it contains most of the PC game’s features. Though it may be as good as advertised, what are some of the things you would want to know about it? Let’s find out:

As said earlier, Survivor Royale is undoubtedly a clone of PUBG. It’s like the latter was brought over to mobile platforms and fully-optimized. It starts in the same manner: you will get to create a character by picking between male or female one and after which, proceed to the tutorial. If you want to be at least competent with the game, we suggest going through it and paying attention. You see, there are a lot of buttons displayed on the screen, and if your device is a little small, you might find the interface a little convoluted.

It takes a few games to get used to the controls. Moving around and sprinting requires usage of the virtual joystick on the left side of the screen. Aiming uses the right side of the play area, while there are two fire buttons on both sides. In addition, you can swap your weapons using a bar on the bottom, with a reload button beside it. In any case, it’s recommended to master the controls even before your first game!

In the usual battle royale fashion, there is a staging area before the mayhem starts in Survivor Royale. Here, players can pick up weapons or do whatever comes to mind. There’s also a voice chat feature, though it’s recommended to turn this off considering that people play music and shout on the mics. After a certain amount of time, you will board a chinook helicopter than can somehow fit a hundred people and parachute into the island, and this is where the fun starts.

As soon as you land, your job is to find weapons and equipment on various areas throughout the map. You can loot buildings to scavenge helmets and body armor, guns like rifles and shotguns, to energy drinks, bandages, and fuel. Apart from which, there are vehicles you can ride to quickly move from one place to another. When you take out an enemy, be sure to grab the precious loot they have on them.

Survivor Royale is quite slow, much like PUBG. The games can last for as long as 20-30 minutes, but you’ll have tons of fun regardless. One of its best parts is freely picking a playstyle. You can either camp and wait it out or simply go after anyone you see. Just remember though, this is a survival game, not a third person shooter.

In terms of presentation, Survival Royale’s graphics are pretty smooth and there are barely any framerate drops or drawbacks whenever you encounter another player. The draw distance is impressive but you may only be able to see nearby players. It’s a league above other poorly-made BR games on mobile devices, making it your best option.

Overall, Survivor Royale is arguably one of the best BR game on mobile phones today. It provides the experience PUBG does, just on a portable platform. We highly recommend giving it a shot!
